• Is this the right horsepower for this boat? Always look at the compliance plate.  If it’s rated for 90HP and the motor is a 60HP, make sure the boat has the right power.
• Has the boat been water tested (especially for boats over 40HP and EFI 4 strokes).  No water test?  What assurance do you have that the package has been properly tested?
• Where was the motor manufactured?  Quality motors come from high tech factories, not third world countries.
• Is the boat Australian made?  Are jobs being kept in this country where possible?
• Good brands have better resale value!
• Buying from a reputable dealer means you have peace of mind.

Even when comparing 4 stroke outboards, customers are often surprised that some brands use very old technology and even their warranties are less useful than they might seem and much shorter in duration.

How easy is the motor manufacturer to deal with?  As we have a very close relationship with Suzuki Marine, we always help our customers get back on the water as quickly as possible!

What is parts availability?  Suzuki has higher than 92% first pick rate!  Chances are, if we need a part, we can get it fast!  This means that if your outboard does need repair (people do damage their motors!), we can get you back on the water very quickly!
